Skate Canada Alliston is currently accepting resumes for a club coach

Skate Canada Alliston is currently accepting resumes for a club coach to join our coaching staff for the 2008 - 2009 season. Our season is currently underway and runs from September to the end of April on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. We are enjoying our second season in the newly constructed Alliston arena, easily accessible via the 400, Hwy 89 and Hwy 50.

The successful applicant must be able to coach Canskate as well as StarSkate from Preliminary to Gold levels in Skills, Dance and Freeskate. Our programs run on Mondays from 4:30 - 7:15 p.m., Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Fridays from 4:30 to 7:15 p.m. We are seeking a positive and motivated coach who is a team player with a passion for the sport of figure skating. Preference will be given to candidates who are fully Level II certified.

High Performance Coach Position

The Oakville Skating Club is looking to fill a High Performance Coaching Position for the 2008-09 season.

The OSC is expecting this person to:

" Work with the Technical Director in the development of a competitive program that will result in the Club consistently sending skaters to the Sectional and National Championships
" Promote and develop a team atmosphere within the Club with all constituents
" Establish and enforce consistent teaching standards
" Establish and enforce competitive and test standards
" Provide direction and appraisals with Talent Identification
" Maintain or increase Club membership through High Performance program development
" Encourage/promote professional development within the coaching ranks
" Attend Board meetings when requested or required

The qualifications being sought are:

" NCCP Level 3 coaching mandatory
" Post secondary education will be an asset
" Competitive Experience at the National and International Level

Located on the beautiful Lake Huron shores, near the expanding Bruce Power Nuclear Facility, the SSSC seeks a certified Level 1 or higher, coach for the 2008-2009 season. CRSC Club Coach

The Campbell River SC, in its 35th year of operation in Campbell River, British Columbia, is seeking an NCCP Level 3 certified Skate Canada Coach with coaching experience in freeskate, skills, and dance. A welcome addition to our current team of two coaches will be the applicant who is dedicated, motivated and team orientated. Positive chemistry between our coaches is of utmost importance. Experience in the areas of dance partnering, pairs, synchronized teams, choreography, and/or competitive skating would be an asset. Club Coaches receive a monthly retainer based on experience, workload, and qualifications.

In our winter season, our club currently offers approximately 17 hours of private lesson ice for StarSkate and Competitive Skaters and 8 hours of group lesson time for CanSkate, CanSkate Academy, Tiny Tots, Adult/Teen, Pre-Junior, and CanPowerSkate to 170 skaters. Our season runs year round September to mid-April for winter and spring sessions and a 4-week summer session in July and August. The city is going to referendum in the fall for permission to add a third arena for our area.

The city of Campbell River is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island an hour and a half north of Nanaimo. The area offers a wide variety of summer and winter recreation, education opportunities, affordable living and a warm community spirit. The area is serviced by air, bus, and car and the ferry in Nanaimo connects us to the BC mainland.
